Some people in the country are good judges of the weather. They use the sun, the moon, the clouds, the sky, the birds, the stars, the wind and the animals to guide them. In the winter when the sky is very red at sunset it is a sign of frost and in summer it is a sign of a fine warm day, the day after. When the clouds are going against the wind it is a sign of very bad weather. When the stars in the sky it is a sign of frost. The south west wind brings most rain to the district.
