- There are two very old roads in the district. Their names are the Hough road and the Cloneyharp road. The Cloneyharp road leads from the village of Clonoulty to the village of Drombane. The Hough road leads from the Cloneyharp road to the Hough cross. It is said that when people were making the Hough road they wanted to make it up through some fields, but the owners would not allow them. They had not enough of material to finish making the road the way they had to do it. It is said that they then made the road wiirect to the school. There is one ford on the Clodiagh river. There is one Mass path on the premises of Mrs Kennedy Gortnaskehia. It is leading Clonoulty(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
