The cradle-birds are made in the shape of a pyramid. There is a square frame left down first. Then it is built up with pieces of timber. Then there is a bow got and it is bent in a half circle and it is fixed on to the frame of the cradle-bird. Then there is a gabhlóg and another weak branch and it is set by means of these and there is a bit of bread put into the middle of the cradle-bird and if she touches the bow the cradle-bow falls down and holds her.
    Making water guns for shooting water is another game young children like to play. They
