- 1. I live in a town-land named Stonehouse, in the parish of Tenure.
2. The parish church is called Tenure church and that is how the parish is called Tenure parish by the people of the locality.
3.Father Brady our present parish priest changed the name to Monasterboice about eight years ago.
4. A older name for it is Ballymakenny.
5. My townland got its name from our house which is supposed to be one of the first houses made of stone
6. There are three houses in the town-land of Stonehouse. One of them is a labours cottage which was built in the year 1936. Two are slated and one is tiled. Two are built of stone and one of cement.
7. There are twenty-nine people living in the three houses. One of them went to England about in the year 1936.- Bailitheoir
