- A family named Myles living on the Ardee Road a mile from here, consisted of three brothers and a sister. They were wealthy and miserly, and lived to a great age.
The three brothers died on after another. The last that died left a bequest to the Parish Priest.
Mary the sister lived to be 90 years of age. She could read without glasses at that age, and never had a toothache. She was very healthy.
She did not give the money to the priest which was left for a new pulpit.
After some time some invisible agency began to peg her with stones and break all her delph.
People who went at night to mind saw the things broken by stones falling from nowhere.
