Boyne about a mile and a half from the sea. He tied his boats along the banks and he and his companions travelled inland along the South Bank of the Boyne. Again he asked some fishermen for fish and they gave him as much as he wanted. Then he blessed them and said they would always have fish. The Boyne is a great river for fish, and the Boyne Salmon is known all over Europe.
When he arrived at Slane on the South Bank of the Boyne he felt thirsty and he asked for water but he was refused. Then he cursed them and said they would never have water. He crossed the river at the ford and he there asked for a drink, they gave him one. He poured his blessings on them saying they would never want for water. It is true that on the South Bank of the Boyne there is a great scarcity of water while on the North Bank they have water in abundance.
