In Lishonstown about 1 1/2 west from the village of Dunshaughlin are crocks of gold supposed to have been hidden there by the English soldiers about 400 years ago.
Another spot is also pointed out in Roestown as the place where the treasure mentioned above is hidden. Roestown extends from 1 mile north of Dunshaughlin to west of Lishonstown. The site of the treasure is supposed to be in a field along the road from Kilmessan to Dunshaughlin almost opposite Lishonstown lane. The spot is on a slight eminence marked by 3 large trees. So far nobody has ever tried to find it.Nos. 2 3. were collected by
