- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)corner is built a place for oats, it is called a feeding trough. Grooved bricks are usually on the floor of the horse stable because the horses would slip on cement. In summer the stables are white washed and the bottom of the walls painted black. When driving horses people say gee up. In cold weather horses don't get clipped they usually are clipped in summer. They are only clipped on the neck and legs. People say they are clipped "trace high" meaning that they don't clip the part covered by the harness.
