- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)where the remainder of his days, was filled with remorse and misery. Genebran and Dympna were interred, by some of the people of Geel. Beside their little altar sprung up a well, which is now called the HOLY WELL of DYMPNA, and within the town of Geel is a holy shrine erected in memory of them, and here they are venerated every year.
Near Kildalkey village in Co. Meath lies an old cemetery. It contains an ivy-mantled pile of ruins. It is called the Abbey of St. Dympna.
