Bernard Reilly. Told by Patrick Reilly, Ballybrittas, Kildalkey. - There are not many in this parish. Some of them are John Davy, John Pender my father, James Miggin and John Daly. John Davy and James Miggin, Kildlakey won fame at throwing the half cwt. John Davy was also an excellent jumper, hurler and footballer. Once while he was jumping he fell and hurted his back and ever since he could not jump. James Miggin is alos a big strong man. My father won a good deal of medals and prizes jumping. John Daly Portanob is a very strong man and he is very small. He is noted for his strength by carrying bags of corn with two or three cwt in them. My uncle Michael Pender Culmullen is the champion high jumper of County Meath.
