- A good deal has been written about this well and about its patron St Ultan and of the hospital he built for orphan children. The " patron " is still kept up on the first Sunday of September and the well is visited by members of the committe of St Brickens Children's Hospital Dublin. The well is well kept.It is said that when St Ultan ran short of milk he used to send for water to this well and the water would turn to milk.
- At this well which is in the same field as the churchyard a monk or nun is said to have been slain during the penal days. The old people say blood can still be seen in blotches in the grass round about.
- This well has been closed in for ages. But we are told it was located near the Roundtower. There used be a pattern held here on the 21st October.
