- There are not many buried treasures in my townland. Two years ago when Peter Tully was cutting turf in a bog in Rosmead he dug up a pot of gold and when he took his eyes away from the pot of gold there was nothing but a clamp of turf there, there is supposed to be a buried treasure in that bog but no one has ever found it. A good many years ago. Johnny Bond from Newtown, oiled two guns and he hid them below in Jim Lynams bog and when he went to get them they were gone. Paddy Dugan was the quickest walker and Woods was the best runner. I
