The Orphanage
Tyrrells Pass 10-1-39. - Long years ago people wore no boots especially the country people.Clogs were mostly worn in Winter times made of wood. When people went out side to the garden or out to the yard they always put on these clogs which were very heavy to lift but still they were very handy on a wet day for they kept their feet high & dry. These clogs had wooden soles leather uppers & were shod with iron which sad to say very few people enjoy now.Ruth Johnston age 12
