Christmas Eve.
The people generally waited up till twelve o'clock. They spent the night praying and singing hymns. When the twelve o'clock bell would ring, they would get a chair and put it by the fire, then they would say the Rosary and invite Jesus and Mary into the house.
Christmas Day.
It is the custom for everyone to stay in his own home on this day.
St. Stephen's Day.
On this day the "wren boys" go from house to house carrying decorated bushes and a dead wren. They sing the following song:-
