    That explains the robin's red breast. It is also said that in pulling out the thorns his bill was made crooked and it still is.
    Another story says that when the Three Wise Kings started to follow the Star for Bethlehem, a fourth set out with them too. He lagged on the way, and allowed the others to go on without him. When he reached Jerusalem, he met Our Lord carrying His Cross on the way to Calvary, so that instead of coming to His Birth, he arrived for His Crucifixion.
