- Long ago there was a woman who could get no butter off the milk that she churned. A neighbouring man was telling her to get a good hound and watch the cows at sunrise and she would see who was taking the butter of the milk.
On a May morning he was watching the cattle and he saw a hare going through them and the hound started after her. The hare made for a house and went for the window. As she was going through the window the hound caught her by the tail and brought a mouthful with him. The woman of that house could not be seen for six months after that. Where she lived was in Drumderrig and she was a Protestant.- Bailitheoir
