  1. One fine summer's day for a ramble, I chanced for to take the fresh air.
    When I then spied a group of young Sladers
    They talked of a dance in the square.
    The first that spoke up was young Rossiter, saying, when shall we go on to - night?
    I think we will go out to the Hardies
    For there's dancing there every night.
    Young Martin he spoke up right quickly, Uh! no, we will go to the square.
