- There are eight graveyards in the parish of Tintern: Ballycullane, Kinnagh, Clonmines, Owenduff, The Poll, Nash, Rathimney, Tintern. All with the exception of the Owenduff and The Poll are square. The ruin of an old church is in every graveyard except Ballycullane where the church is still in use. The Owenduff is situated in Yoletown Ballycullane Co. Wexford. The Poll is in Drealistown Ballycullane co. Wexford. The remainder are the same name as the townsland. Those are all still in use. I did not visit all the graveyards in my own parish. In Sutton's parish there is a graveyard called Kilmokea Campile Co. Wexford. This graveyard slopes from West to East there are no trees growing in it at present. It contains very old tombs and crosses. The most of those crosses are made of wood. The following are some of the dates on the tombs -
1. Beneath this stone are deposited the remains of David Kent of the Island Quay who departed this life the 3rd day of February 1729 aged 64 years also his daughter Eliza Kent who departed this life in the year 1730 aged 21 years. Here lies the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
