A great grand-uncle of Mary Doyle, Boley Ballycullane, Co Wex travelled to other schools.
"Kaltys Rock. Boley, Ballycullane, Co Wexford. Lived where Gregory Furlong is living now. Master built school himself with stones and roofed it with rushes. 8. Master O'Farrell. Teacher came from Mayo.

Co. Wex. 20 chn attended. Fire supplied in Winter by owner of barn. chn brought turf. A well is where school was called "Tobar na Scoile"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
