    Years ago, people by the name of Forrestals lived in the house...

    That evening an old woman came to the door and asked for some butter. The woman of the house said that it was too scarce and the traveller asked her about the roll of butter she had found on the door. She told her to throw it into the water that was running by the gate and she would get back her butter. She did this and ever after she had plenty of butter.

    The old woman of the house that this happened to was my Mother's grandmother. Her name was Betty Forrestal and this happened about one hundred and forty years ago. My mother heard the story from her father.
