At one time a portion of the Slaney came out at Poulsac and a Mr Breen a grandfather to the present Mrs Nunn had a small bridge put up for the use of his cattle, his son inlaw old Mr Nunn had a larger stone bridge erected in later years instead so that his malt cots could pass under it, this bridge is still in use.
Long ago there were Masspaths at several places leading to the Chapel. There was one where a ditch now stands owned by Rev. Fr. Newcome, PP.
The local school is supposed to be built on a Masspath and near it was once a church yard.
Any information I did not know my self I got it from my father James Shortall aged 54 years.
