Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Long ago the people ate three meals every day. Some had porridge and potatoes and very seldom they would get a bit of bacon, or some salt meat.
    The farmers worked before their breakfast. The used to get their breakfast before nine o'clock in the morning, and their dinner about one o'clock, and their supper about five o'clock in the evening. They had not the same food for each meal but most people had potatoes for their dinner and supper.
    In every house the table was placed in the middle of the floor and it was left there. Some people got fish when it came in boats to the Quay and people bought it from the men, there.
    Some well off people had special feasts on birthdays, and on days that people would be visiting. At Christmas the very rich people would have pigs heads and other things. On Good Friday the people would not take any milk on their tea.

    Long ago the people used to ate three meal.
    When they would get up in the morning they would put a small pot of stirabout down on the fire. Then they would go out and do their mornings work. When they would come in
