  1. The following was collected by James Furlong Rathfardon, Clonroche. He heard the story from a labourer named Patrick Murphy of Ballindoney Ballywilliam.
There is a treasure supposed to be hidden in a haggard belonging to Andrew Murray of Rathfardon, Clonroche. The money is said to have been hidden by the Danes.
Somebody dreamt about the money and made an attempt to unearth it but failed. A big gander rushed from a rath close by and the people ran away.
This rath is on Mr Murray's land in the townland of Rathfardon, parish of Cloughbawn and county of Wexford.
