- Local Ruins - Blundel Castle
This castle was situated in a wood behind the church. It was owned by the Berminghams and was built about the fifteenth century. There is a local story connected with this castle. When the lord of this castle went out on one of his forays, he locked up his three daughters in a dungeon. And as he was longer away than he expected, when he returned he found his three daughters dead. And old people say that every night on the stroke of twelve o’ clock they may be seen walking down the “Ladies walk” from the castle.- Faisnéiseoir
