- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Many people who hunt the wren go to the houses on St Stephen's day & say rhymes. They get money.
"The wren, the wren the king of all birds,
St. Stephen's day she was caught in the furze,
Little or not her family was great,
I pray you good lady to give us a treat
Up with the kettle & down with the pan,
Give us some money to bury the wren.
