- There are not many holy wells in the district. There is a holy well in Tournant, near Dunlavin. It is a big well. There is a very big tree over the well. Any people wjho go to the well leave something after them, such as Medals, Relics, Rosary-beads. I have never heard of anyone who was cured at the well.
There is a holy-well near Talbotstown called Tobernachristhamaun There was a fish in the well and one day a woman by the name of Fenton, brought in the water out of the holy well to boil it for the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
