- (continued from previous page)After the marriage the whole party were entertained at the brides house. They had great feasting, dancing and singing until the early hours of the following day. Early on the night of the wedding strawboys visited the house. They wore straw headgear, the straw extending down far enough to hide the face. They also wore a covering of straw over their shoulders and chest. As a rule they were heartily welcome. They danced for some time and then retired congratulating the newly married couple.
