Saturday is considered unlucky expecially regarding a person's removal to a new house or home.
"Saturday's flit - short sit"
It is said that work commenced on Saturday is never finished.
Mondays and Thursdays are the days on which "Cures" should be made.
In wet or stormy weather if Sunday is fine the following week will be wet and vice versa. But if Friday is wet the following Sunday will be wet.
It is said that no matter what rain or storm may come during the week there will always be "a fair hour" on Saturday to enable the people to dry clothes for Sunday's Mass.
