When he was coming home and passing the fort he heard voice's crying. Our cow is gone" Next day he went back to the man to whom he had sold her and took her back. He drove her back to the fort without milking her. After that when he went out in the morning he always found an extra cow in his byre. She was there for the morning's milking and then went away.
Another incident in connection with fort (d) About 30 years the then owners of the field George and James Trotter took stones from the back of the fort to build cowhouses. When they were built they were tossed during the night. This happened a few times. Finally they brought back the stones to the fort. (This was also told by Mrs Maguire) Referring to the fort marked (d) The entrance to the fort is locally(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
