    5. Keadue Fort: said to have been occupied by the native soldiers during the time of Elizabeth.
    6. Cullentra Fort. Tradition says that this was a Nemedian Palace.
    7. Crossreagh Fort. a supposed Pagan military establishment.
    8. Lisnacark Fort. It is said that O'Reilly's army was quartered here on its way to Battle of Farney.
    Shantioman vitrified Fort Near "Finger Stones" where O'Reilly Chiefs were supposed to be crowned. The outer ring is composed of gravel, stone, clay fused together by enormous heat, into a glossy substance. An old tale says that if one slides down the sloping site of this fort, feet foremost, lying on the face, a "Fairy Army" appears to the vision to vanish just a quickly. Another story says that the leprechaun used to be seen here plying his trade.
    It is said that the people fled to those forts in time of siege.
    Cashels are not common in this Parish.
    The forts of Castletara were formerly white-washed.
