If you marry on Tuesday you marry for wealth
If you marry on Wednesday its the best day of all
If you marry on Thursday you marry for losses
If you marry on Friday you marry for crosses
And if you marry on Saturday you have no luck at all. - On the evening of the marriage there was a "Flitting." An oak chest full of linens which was given to the bride by her parents is brought to her new home. The chest was put on a horse and cart and a married couple, with some neighbours drive with it, to the groom's house.
