    In the townland of Corratinure there lived a man called Dan King.

    bright he thought it was daybreak although it was only about midnight. He travelled on until he came to Dunancosy. Then he met a large crowd of very small men. One of them spoke to him saying " where are you going so early Dan". Dan said he was going to the fair to sell noggins. The man asked him to go with them and said that he would never be poor again if he went. Dan consented and he got a purse of gold from the little man. He and two of the men started away from the crowd. "There is a dance in the townland of Garryross tonight and we want to take a young girl away but we cannot do so if we have not a living person with us," said one of the little men. the other said " The girl will sneze three times when I smoke the pipe beside her
