There are three names on this weed. There grows a yellow flower on the well. When the yellow flower withers it is seed and it falls. Then there grows more. That is how it spreads. Sheep eat this weed and no other animal eats it. Some of the rag weeds grow very big and strong. Some grow as high as two feet and a half.
Foxgloves
A long shank grows up and a little red cracker about the size of a thimble. You could crack them.
Colts foot.
It is silky leaf in the shape of a colt's foot.
Shepherds purse.
There are little purses on this weed to hold the seed. They are shaped like shepherd's purses.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
