   It is not a treat, but money we crave,
   If we don't get the money we'll make the wren's grave,
   Up with the scillet and down with the pan, a penny or two pence to bury the wren."
   On St. Brigid's day some people make St. Brigid's Crosses, which they hang in the kitchen, and other rooms, after holy water has been sprinkled on them, and where there is one of St. Brigid's wells, the people visit it, and pray and bring home some of the water with them.
   May day is celebrated by the erection of a "May pole" at each house, which is decorated with May flowers.
   On Easter Sunday fires are lighted outside, and eggs are boiled on them for the "children's feast".
