    The dead coach is supposed to pass towards Belturbet at midnight. It is drawn by headless horses and driven by a headless man.
    A driverless coach drawn by four horses is also supposed to go up the Drumlaney Avenue to the castle.
    Cavan Abbey :- A house was built on the site of the old Abbey. When the people came to live in the house they could not sleep at night because of the noise of doors banging and wall presses opening and closing. One night the man of the house stayed up. He heard the usual banging and knocking in the press. He opened the door but could see nothing. Next day he took the back and bottom out of the press and found under the floor the skeleton of a man which he took out and buried.
