So one night he and another man remained watching in the garden and just at twelve o'clock three white horses and a white foal came in from the strand and began eating the oats. The man caught a clod of earth and threw it, and hit the foal. The foal immediately stood and the man caught her and brought her home and trained her up to work. Every year she had a white foal(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
