This porridge was made in the Market Square, Clonmellon.Mrs. Kelly, Abbeylara, Granard owns a large tin churn which held buttermilk to be distributed to the poor people during the famine.The "Nailers Bush" stands on the main road from Clonmellon to Kells about a half mile outside the town.
