   This tender youth had been captivated
   Which on his grief Cupid seemed to frown,
   For in his song he oft times repeated
   The Blooming Maid of Rockcorry Town.

   Ye nymphs and Swains of this Irish Nation
   Pray pay attention both one and all,
   Unto these lives which I'm going to mention
   In praise of the maid that did me enthrall.
   Her name to mention I do decline it
   Lest snorting critics would on me frown.
   But her habitation you an easily find it
   She resides near Rockcorry Town.

   It being a pleasant Sweet Summer's morning
   As Sol advanced from his eastern shade
   With golden beams mountain tops adorning
   When I espied this most charming maid
   the early lark was aloft ascending
   While other small birds sang sweet all round
   With melodious notes Corry's groves seemed rending
   To hail the maid of Rockcorry Town.
