Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)time. It was a Holy – Well, - Tobar Ceannaighthe – and was known as Tobar na súil. People whose eyes were affected came here to wash the eyes in the waters of the well, and tradition states that many cures of the eyes were effected. Of late years the well looks some-what neglected, but thirty years ago it was nicely kept, and there were many small statues and other religious emblems placed around it.
- About two miles to the South-West of the school, in the townland called The Drummins, there is a fine example of a Druid’s Altar. It consists of three pillar stones standing upright to form a triangle, and on these rests a huge rectangular shaped slab or flag-stone. The pillar stones are about eighteen inches high, and the flag-stone is five feet by four and a half feet and(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
