How they made Buck Bread in olden times.
The people used to make Buck Bread in olden times. It was made of grated potatoes .
This grater was made of tin which was pierced through several times with a nail, from the same side .
Then the potatoes were cleaned and peeled, and rubbed to the rough side of the grater in order to make a pulp of them.
The pulp was put into a losad with flour ,salt ,milk and a little soda,it was mixed, and made in the shape of a cake .
It was then put on a greased griddle to bake over a small fire.
When baked it was put on the window to cool.it was eaten when cold.
