    Next day at the inquest Paddy was first to be called up. He saw the (heard) head clerk talking to the guard as if they were talking about him.
    After a while they called him up. The clerk said to come to his office and that he would have good work and good wages because of your honesty.
    Next day he was at the office and he had good wages from that on and was never poor again.
