  1. 1 When a man has selected the site of a new house in my district he puts a heap of stones at each corner of the foundation, if the stones are knocked during the nigh, it is a sign that there are fairies on that ground, so the man will not build on that spot. but if the stones are left untouched he will build there.
    2 There are two little hills in one of our fields, one on each side of a sand-pit. The local people call them "The Fairy Hills", because when we cut the grass of them it mostly always rains for a few days.
