    In autumn they are dug with spades and then the farmers put the good potatoes into pits and in this way they are secured for the winter. There are various kinds of potatoes such as Epicures, Kerry-pinks, Champtions [?], and Aránbanners. The Epicures are the first potatoes that are sown.
