- There are three graveyards in the parish of Innismacsaint-the Rock, Finner, and Bundoran.
The Rock graveyard, which is rectangular in shape, is situated in Carrickboy, just beside the Rock Hospital. The Rock Church is built in it. Round the front of the graveyard is a railing and there are walls around the other three sides. It contains many old tombs and crosses, which are made of wood, iron, marble and stone. Some of the modern ones are very ornamental. The oldest grave in the Rock is that of Felix Gilfedder, who died in 1864 (R.I.P.).
Finner graveyard is between Bundoran and Ballyshannon. It is a very old graveyard, much older than the Rock. The writing on the tomb-stones, is, in many cases, blotted away. There are ruins of an old Church in this graveyard, and people are buried within the ruins. Some for the Ballyshannon people have their burial plots in Finner, although the Rock is nearer to them. The date on the oldest grave is 1259.
The unbaptized children in Ballyshannon used to be buried in Sminver.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
