    and put it into a little bas salt and broken potatoes with it and flour. They would knead it and make it into a cake. They would put it down on a grid-iron to bake. When it would be baked they would take it up and eat it.
    They used to make other bread called mixture. First they would get flour and meal, sugar and breadsoda. They would mix it together and make it with water. Then they would bake it on a grid-iron. The people thought that it was very sweet bread. The people had no oven at that time.
