    There is a treasure buried in Lagan Lake, and it is a very valuable one. It is a pan of gold weighing a ton and a half. This is how it was discovered.
    Once there lived in Slatta a man named McGuire, who owned a big farm there, but this farm now belongs to a man named Mc Nally. Mc Guire dreamt three nights in succession that there was a pan of gold buried in the mouth of the lake, Mc Guire was told in his dream to get seven grey mares and no grey horse. He was also told where there was a chain, and that he was to trace the mares to the chain, and pull the pan up. This man travelled the country looking for seven grey mares, but he got only six grey mares and a grey horse. He got
