  1. In olden times there was different kinds of bread made from what is made now.
    Boxty bread, - this was made by scraping raw potatoes into a bowl flour and salt was mixed with the potatoes. The mixture was then lightly spread in a pan to bake.
    Oat meal bread was made from flour and hot water and sugar
