  1. Every farmer in this village sows a plot of potatoes. Some of them sow them, more pitch them. They dig out the land and they make ridges out of it. If they are going to sow them they spread manure on the ridges. Then they cut up seed potatoes into slits, leaving one eye in each slit. They spread three slits on the manure in lines leaving about one foot bewean every two lines.
