  1. There was a man wan time lived in Wesford age ago. He was married. They had wan son. His name was Mocley, but he was commonly called Mocley the fool. He was all the divil for atin he'd ate an' ate an' never could be filled. Now his people were very poor, and they found it very hard to live, and keep a bit in Mocley's mouth.
    Times got so bad at last that they had only wan cow between them and starvation, so they had to bring her to the fair. Mocley and his mother went to the fair and they were a long time there but couldn't sell the little cow. At about two oclock in the afternoon, Mocley was gettin' awful hungry and he told his mother
