    they had to cut the hay. There was once a challenge given to the men that were working in a field with Pat Keenan to see which of them could mow the most in a day and the farmer would give them a pound for every acre they would mow and Pat Keenan won the bet by doing an acre and a half.

  2. Tom Keenan of Currasallagh Ballaghaderreen was the best runner in the parish. He could race any one in the parish. He could catch a rabbit at his ease by running after it.
    His brother James Keenan of Currasallagh could throw a hundred weight twelve feet.
    Tom MacDermott Currasallagh was once in England and all the men were getting their dinner in a sort of bothy. They were all English except
